craft picture gifts

Sam here again! I really hope our cousins start to blog soon so it's not just me and Missy. Pretty boring day today just trying to get ALL of my homework done.
Well as Missy has said this Christmas we did a craft Christmas and I thought I would share with you a could of my crafts that are really easy to explain and that I thought turned out pretty good.

Me and my amazing husband Jack

I thought this turned out great. what I did was get a picture of our first dance together as husband and wife and got a frame with a mat (I think I got 2 for like $14 at walmart.com) then wrote the lyrics to our wedding song (Lost in this moment) first I did it on a scrap piece of paper so I knew how it would work out.
I was thinking about printing the lyrics but I though writing them would be more personal.

This one was for my brother in law
I know this one is pretty simple, but It's perfect for them. Him and my sister just had a baby just before Christmas an he is in the army national guard.

This isn't the same frame as before, this one came from hobby lobby on sale for $7. I took a normal piece of paper and printed the quote to make sure it lined up just as i wanted, then when it was perfect, I put the star scrapbook paper in the printer.
I then took the mat and cut a triangle of the edges and folded them down in the back and taped it
then cut a little piece in the center and cut 4 lines to all the inside corners, then folded those down as well,
Put the frame back together and added this picture of them in the hospital.

This next one was from my boys to there papa

He ended up in tears when he opened this.

I got a tray from hobby lobby(can't remember the price) then stained with will some stain I had a the house.
while drying I cut out all the pictures to as small as I could get them so I could get as many pictures on there as possible.
Then I laid them out with a square i the corner being left blank.
Once I felt they were perfect I then glued them down.
once they were all down I used my mod podge to coat them all, did it a couple of times. This way he can't mess up the pictures if coffee is spilt on them.
then used my cricut and but out BEST BUDS with vinyl and put it in the corner.

well I guess is time to go finish my paper good night!

car seat covers

Sam here again! Trying to do homework, but I guess I'm taking a "break". First I would like to say Happy Birthday to my amazing sissy Cassie, mommy to be very soon, I would also like to say that I can't wait for all of my COUSIN to come visit for my sons 3rd birthday in a month.
Well with that aside while on my HW break I would like to share with you a craft that enjoy making, car seat covers for babies, an seat belt strap. With all the new babies in the family I have made 4 of these in the past 6 months

 Reversible Straps
Nautical theme, such cute material for our little boy. We use this thing everywhere.
The blue and white fabric from the straps are on the inside
I couldn't believe I found these awesome buttons t match
This one I made first before I found the more baby friendly pattern, but I think it sill turned out very cute.
this one is also made with a thinner fabric so it will be great when it gets a little bit warmer
 another perfect button
 Straps to match

This one was made for my sister who is having a baby very soon
Her theme is Noah's ark, this is the reversible straps
I love this fabric, I also found this same fabric in fleece and made her no sew tie blanket to match
 cute buttons and ribbon
Some people says its hard to find stuff for boys but I think these ones worked out great

I've also made a tiger one for my other sister for her baby, I don't have the pictures so made she will share them with you.
This is such an easy pattern if you need it just contact me, but I am also willing to sell them just contact me!

I love having all these babies in the family I can't wait for more.

This is Missy, i just wanted to put an update on my sisters post.  She didnt take pictures of the one that she made for me so I thought that i would put them up so everyone can see the other one that she has made.  As I said before, I did a Winnie the Pooh theme for my son's nursery so that is what she did for his car seat cover as well.  Actually, the print is Tigger but it came out super cute.  Take a look.
Tigger Car Seat Cover

Reversable Straps for the seat belts.

Welcome and cakes

Hi everyone Sam here! I guess my first post should be a little bit about myself, of course I am a cousin to some amazing woman, that you will hopefully meet very soon. I have two little boys that are my world. I have not stopped moving since I was 18. Ive been to TX (when I joined the AF) then to NM (That's were I met my husband) then to KY and now NC. Hopefully we wont be leaving NC and will start settling down.
Other than my children I have other loves and my top two would have to be BAKING, and CRAFTING (in that order of course), and that is why I am going to the Art Institute for Baking and Pastry (and am trying to talk my cousin Sarah into going)  and also why I'm excited about this blog.
Well that's a little into to me.

I would like to start with what I did on my long day yesterday. This quarter I'm taking European cakes and tortes. I will probably sharing a lot of amazing cakes... at least for the next couple of months while I'm in this class
Caraibe torte
Chocolate sponge soaked with simple syrup and rum(you could really taste the rum, yummy), then chocolate buttercream, repeated then topped with silky ganache deluxe and chopped up chocolate meringue sticks.
-It was slightly dry on the bottom but OMG it was AMAZING!!! I would give the recipe but its about 10 recipes in one. Don't worry I will eventually give out some great recipes I come across

This is the other one we finished up yesterday, but it didn't get decorated
Chocolate Caramel Maxine
Chocolate Carmel mouse with Carmel filling on top of chocolate sponge cake, the topped it dark chocolate glaze.
so yummy... I really loved this one but I could only eat a tiny piece of it, it was soooo sweet.

I really hope you enjoyed my cakes if no one else ends up reading this I'm happy to be sharing all of our amazing stuff with my COUSINS, sisters aunts and mom!
